I am a Social Worker at heart and love working with kids, couples, individuals and families. I specialize in couples and family counseling and counseling for families who have adopted, as well as individual therapy, and depression and anxiety treatment for teens and adolescents. As a certified therapist and certified mediator in Denver, I received my Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Colorado College and my Masters in Social Work from Metropolitan State University.
My husband and I have been together for seven years and are parents to two lovable Golden Retrievers. We are also in the process of adopting a baby! We are so excited about becoming new parents. I am passionate about working with families who have adopted children as well people who were adopted themselves. We also foster rescue golden retrievers and help them find their ‘forever family’. Whether it’s people or dogs, I think a stable and loving home environment is so important.
I love helping people realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that can feel better. Which is why I also work with a lot of people struggling with anxiety and depression, specifically kids and teenagers.
Personally, I love to be outdoors! I love to ski and snowshoe in the winter and hike and camp in the summer. If I’m outside and active, I’m happy! I also have a passion for fitness and nutrition. I realize how important being healthy is, and at the same time I struggle with it like everyone else!
I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story. Let’s talk today!
