Self care is vital. We need to take care of ourselves and rest and refuel. But too many times, when I ask clients what they do for self care, they tell me "nothing" or they give me a short list involves things like exercise, chocolate, nail painting, or bubble baths. These are all great! But they reflect a limited view of self care. They are often focused on making our bodies feel relaxed, but often neglect emotional needs, spiritual needs, or self respect needs.
I found this image the other day that helps expand self care in some concrete ways. I suggest taking at least one self care tip a day or week to focus on and practice. Practice mindfully and with intention and watch that relationship with yourself grow!
