We all want to feel good, but some of us go too far to feel good. We run from, judge, or bury so-called "bad" emotions, but ironically this only makes us suffer more. We end up avoiding challenges, increasing shame, decreasing empathy, feeling empty, and many other symptoms (many of which land people in my office).
I'm passionate about living a fun, meaningful, kick-ass life, and want to help my clients do the same. To do that, we need to embrace the suck that accompanies the effort, set-backs and adventures we face.
In the clip below, Susan David gives a great TEDtalk on tolerating the full range of human emotions. Enjoy!
