I went to a dinner party the other night. The host had a great idea for conversation: she asked the group a question and we each answered it and discussed it. The question was "What have you done lately to push yourself out of your comfort zone?"
Great question!
Answers were varied. One woman quit her stable, corporate job to pursue a passion project. One woman is expanding her business and investing in her company's growth. One started taking a "sexy dance" class to be out of her head and into her body, despite being a self-diagnosed "rhythm-less dancer." One was budgeting money to take a vacation and another was getting out of a money-scarce time and challenging herself to invest more in herself. Conversation of electric and we all left challenged and inspired.
I have a great group of badass friends! But that's not the point....
The point is that growth requires being brave and challenging ourselves to step out of our comfort zone. If we're not growing, we're at the very least stagnant, or worse, shrinking. It takes active intention, but it's necessary for growth and you're worth it. What's more, and what was so striking that night, is that the more you challenge yourself to be big and bold, the more you inspire others to be big and bold. That shit's contagious! And wouldn't it be rad to see the ripple effect of your bravery!?!
So, my question to you is "What have you done lately to push yourself out of your comfort zone?"
