Traffic sucks and one bonus of this time at home is we dont have to deal with it. But since we don’t have our normal routine of dealing with traffic on the way to work, some people are now lacking that natural transition time between work and home. Blurring those lines can be bad for business, mental health, and relationships. So keep your commute!
Take that time you’d normally spend driving to and from work to transition into that mental headspace. Maybe you take a walk, listen to music, journal, take a shower, work out, meditate. Or maybe we can take a cue from Mr. Roger's who always switched into his sneakers and cardigan when he started to show to signify he arrived and was present to hang in the neighborhood. Who doesn’t want to practice social distance in a sassy cardy!?! Whatever it is, keep that commute time and be mindful of that transition from work mode to home mode.
And remember, we are here for you (virtually of course) if you need extra help dealing with the mental battles of this difficult time. We are offering virtual sessions and would love to help you work through whatever it is you’re going through. Please reach out today if you are wanting to schedule a virtual session.
