I saw a meme the other day that listed things that are important to tell your children. I didnt come up with it, but it sounds great, and I totally cosign on the recommendation that kids need to hear that
1. I love you.
2. I’m proud of you.
3. I’m sorry.
4. I forgive you.
5. I’m listening.
6. This is your responsibility.
7. You’ve got what it takes.
But then I got to thinking. We're all basically big kids, wouldn't it be great intentionally tell our friends and family and partners that
1. I love you.
2. I’m proud of you.
3. I’m sorry.
4. I forgive you.
5. I’m listening.
6. This is your responsibility.
7. You’ve got what it takes.
And then I thought more. If everyone else is just a big kid and needs to hear these things, I probably need to say to myself that
1. I love you.
2. I’m proud of you.
3. I’m sorry.
4. I forgive you.
5. I’m listening.
6. This is your responsibility.
7. You’ve got what it takes.
